Why do you need your equipment PAT tested?
While it is not a legal requirement to have your equipment PAT tested as an Employer you have a responsibility to ensure you, your employees and the public are safe. This applies to both site, mobile and home workers. It is therefore a good idea to make sure any appliances used are properly checked.

What is a Portable Appliance?
A portable appliance is anything that is not permanently wired into the mains supply and can be moved.

Extension leads
Desk lights
Hair dryers
Power tools
Personal Computers
TV screens
PC monitors
Battery operated equipment does not need PAT testing but should be inspected by a competent person.
We also test items such as guitar amplifiers, entertainment equipment and various other equipment for individuals and groups.
